7522 baby turtles were born in the beaches of Solaris Cancun

Every year from May to October, thousands of Turtles from the Carey, White and Caguama species visit our beaches looking for a safe place to lay their eggs.

Thanks to the important work of the prevention team we closed the turtle season with 7522 little ones born from 85 nests on the beaches of Royal Solaris and returned to the sea safely. Year after year our prevention team carries out different actions that ensure the welfare of these magnificent reptiles, from the care of the turtles at the time of laying their eggs, to informing our guests about the precautions they must take as they do not have to light with lamps or flashes at night, collect the eggs, count them and deposit them in safe nests and finally once the little ones are born, ask our guests for help take them back to the sea with extreme caution and wishing them good luck.

We are very fortunate to experience this wonder of nature on our beaches, since those baby turtles that were born here, will return in a few years to deposit their own eggs on the beach, a tradition that passes from generation to generation.
