Do I need a negative covid19 test to travel to México from the USA?
No, México is not requiring covid19 tests to enter our country. The Antigen test is mandatory to fly back to the USA.
Does the Antigen test also apply to Canadian travelers?
Effective midnight on January 7, 2021, the government requires a Pre-departure COVID-19 testing and negative results for air travelers coming to Canada. Tests must be performed using a COVID-19 molecular test, such as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) test. Other types of tests, such as Antigen tests, will not be accepted. For guests traveling to our hotel the test will be administered on-site by certified medical specialists at an additional cost to the guest.
The cost will be $105 USD for our hotels in Cancun and $225 USD for Cabo.
Are we safe while visiting your resort?
We are following very strict safety protocols at the airports and all tourist centers. Our Solaris Hotels are up to date with all mandatory international protocols for covid-19 and internal protocols on sanitization to ensure our properties are safe for the health of all of our Members and guests who will join us to enjoy a great vacation. We are excited to have you back on vacation.
We need to take a Covid-19 test before returning to our country. Do you have on-site testing at the hotel?
COVID-19 ANTIGEN FIA TEST ( Rapid test), is accepted by the CDC; this will be administered on our Hotels at no cost for 5 night stays or longer to guests flying back to the USA or any other country that requires and accepts as valid the ANTIGEN proof for re-entry. Upon check-in, the guests must request an appointment with the medical services desk inside the hotel, to schedule the day and time for the test.
Do you provide the covid19 Antigen test for free?
We provide the antigen test free of charge for two adults per room on a minimum of 5-night stays.
What happens if I stay for four nights or less?
You need to request the test upon arrival. The cost is $10 USD per person.
What happens if there are three people in one room?
The cost per extra person is $15 USD.
PCR test results will be provided by paper or electronic copy and will include the name and contact information of the laboratory or healthcare personnel who performed the test.
What is the difference between the antigen test and the PCR test?
The Antigen test detects viral proteins. This rapid antigen test reveals patients at the peak of the infection when the body has the highest concentration of these proteins. The results for the rapid test can be ready in the next 24 hours
The PCR test is able to detect a COVID-19 infection even before the person becomes infectious and will allow early isolation. The results are delivered within the next 48 to 72 hours.
Is the Antigen test available 24 hours, how do I set an appointment?
Rapid test samples are taken at Royal Solaris Cancun from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm from Monday through Sunday. Rapids at GR Solaris are taken from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Please be aware that the CDC may not accept rapid tests made the same day of departure.
Upon check-in, the guests must request an appointment with the medical services desk inside the hotel, to schedule the day and time for the test.
Is this testing at a local medical clinic or at a hospital?
On-site property testing will be administered by certified laboratories committed to providing a first-rate health care service for travelers. Every Solaris Resort has a special area to administer the tests. If you decide to go to a local medical clinic or hospital extra costs will apply.
How do we get the results?
Test results will be received in the next 24 hours in a format consistent with government requirements. Guests should contact the concierge at each resort upon arrival to schedule departure testing. PCR swab test will be received within 48 to 72 hours.
Viral antigen and PCR tests will be provided by paper or electronic copy and will include the name and contact information for the laboratory or healthcare personnel who performed the test.
Is there another requirement to fly back to the USA?
Yes, the airlines are also requiring a PASSENGER DISCLOSURE AND ATTESTATION printed and signed to board the plane.
What happens if someone gets tested positive? Can we return to our country?
If a guest receives a positive test while on property, they must stay in the destination. Royal Solaris will support our clients with 10 days of stay in a different hotel and one way transfer to the hotel assigned. Food & Beverages will be covered by the guest and will have a 20% of discount. Payment to be made directly at the hotel.
The All-Inclusive
Is it worth even if we are not heavy drinkers or eaters?
If you are planning to stay in a non-All-Inclusive resort you will still have to eat, drink and have some fun with at least one day of activities. Besides, All-Inclusive resorts are not only food and beverages but a complete atmosphere full of enthusiasm, activities or relaxation and tranquility, depending on what you are looking for, with different activities for all ages and preferences.
Does the price include the room, food, and drinks for everyone?
Yes. Everyone at the Solaris resorts have access to breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, national beverages (alcoholic [18+yo] and non-alcoholic drinks), as well as nightly shows, daytime entertainment, and kids club.
We are on tight budget, is convenient an All-inclusive or is better to choose any other option?
Having a reduced budget is the best reason to stay in an All-Inclusive resort as you already know how much you will spend on your vacations, not worrying about how many drinks, food or activities costs in the resort.
You will not feel embarrassed of asking the price of every single drink or dish you wish to order.

What do you consider national drinks?
We consider national drinks: Corona, tequila, whiskey, rum, brandy, liquors, cocktails (with and without alcohol), table wine, soft drinks, juices, coffee and tea.
Is the minibar also included?
The mini bar is stocked daily so you can have always available in your room: 4 beers, 4 can sodas and 4 bottled water. You can exchange the beer for water or sodas, but not vice-versa.
Is there any dress code for the dining restaurants?
Yes, all restaurants required dress code. For more information about the dress code for each restaurant please visit the restaurant page of the desired resort.
Is the tap water drinkable at the resorts?
For your convenience all our resorts have bottles of water in the rooms with daily supply, if additional water is needs please request this service to the front desk.
Does the hotel offer menus for guests with different food diets?
Yes, Solaris Resorts offers special menu choices for vegetarians, diabetics and gluten-free diets. Feel free to ask your waiter for the special hotel menu and if needed contact us at info@hotelessolaris.com.
What is the minimum legal drinking age in Mexico
It's 18 years old, with no exceptions.

How do I get between the airport and the resort?
Transportation from the airport to the Solaris Resorts is included if you book directly at clubsolaris.com, the transportation back to the airport is complimentary if your stay is 7 nights or more and you reserved the special price (presentation promotion.)

Why should I use a bracelet as a Solaris guest?
We offer all-inclusive service and the bracelet helps our staff to identify our guests according to the age range (children non-alcoholic drinks).
What happens if I take off or lose my bracelet?

Are pets allowed at the resort?
No by the moment sorry, Buddy and Smudge have to wait for you at home.
Do the rooms have terrace or balcony?
GR Solaris Cancun and Royal Solaris Los Cabos have terrace or balconies but in GR Caribe and Royal Solaris, only a few of them have balconies.
Which are the services and schedules of Solaris Marina?
Solaris Resorts in Cancun offers you non-motorized sports: Kayaks, pedal boats and windsurf, It is open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and it's located in front of Royal Solaris Cancun (lagoon side)
Are there ATMs at the resort?
Yes, We do have ATMs available for you. Keep in mind that they only issue national currency (national currency only).
If I reserve with a travel agency, can I have an invoice from you?
You can request your invoice only if you made the reservation directly through our Reservation Department to the toll-free 877 270 04 40. If your reservation was made through a travel agency are not able to offer you an invoice, in that case, contact your agency.

Do you have internet in the rooms?
Yes, we have a surcharge. Every Wednesday from 11 am to 2 pm, we provide the Internet with no charge to all our guests.
Do you offer babysitting Service? What is the price for the service?
Yes, we offer a babysitting service with an additional charge. Royal Solaris Cancun and GR Caribe by Solaris $10 USD per hour, max 2 children per service + $15 USD for the babysitter transportation (apply only for nighttime service). GR Solaris Cancun: $15 USD per hour, max 2 children per service + $15 USD for the babysitter transportation (apply only for nighttime service). Royal Solaris Los Cabos: $15 USD per hour (min. 2 hrs.) + $10 us. for the baby sitter transportation (apply only for nighttime service). The discounted price is applied when you accept the promotional offer and accept to join us for 90 minutes of your vacation to show you the benefits of being part of the Solaris family. Can I use US dollars as a currency in Cancun or Los Cabos?
The local currency in Mexico is the peso, however, most of the establishments accept US dollars.

What are any general politics should I know before my check-in?
Please read carefully:
- Minimum age to do check-in: 18
- Transfer service from and to the airport is available 24 hours upon request. Contact SOL HA tour agency to coordinate it
- Check-out is 11:00am. Late Check-out is available with surcharge.
- In Cancún drinks with alcohol are served from 11:00am until 01:00am no exceptions.
- Payments: MasterCard, American Express, Visa & Cash.
- Some rooms have hidden beds available for kids.
- Cribs available upon request and availability.
- We offer free transfer service from the airport. Guests must provide their arrival information using the contact information on the reservation confirmation, a week before arrival. The resort fee is included in the total published price.
- *You must present a photo ID issued by the government authorities and a credit card or cash deposit at check-in to cover any unforeseen expenses. Debit cards are not accepted for hotel deposits
